Pizza Hut has this Smart Choice Lunch deal/promotion which is available on weekdays from 11am to 5pm , excluding on eves and on public holidays. We can mix and match in 3 simple steps, choosing 1 main course, 1 side and 1 drink. The price starts from S$7.90++.
For the main course, we can choose from either the personal pan pizza or the pasta or steak/fish and chips.
For the side, there is a choice from garlic bread, criss cross fries to soup of the day.
For the drinks, there are soft drinks and you can upgrade to coffee or tea or sparkle drinks by paying between S$1.30 and S$1.90.
Today, I ordered the BBQ Chicken Supreme, criss cross fries and Root Beer. They served the drink and the criss cross fries promptly. The fries taste like those we can purchase off the supermarket shel but with the limited choices of the sides, the fries is the most appealing dish to me.
Pizza hut does live up to its name. The crust is crispy on the outside but yet the inside is fluffy. The sauce is nice and with the tender chicken bits and cheese, the BBQ chicken Supreme just tastes well. We waited around 15 minutes before the pizza was served but it's worth the waiting as it tasted nice while it's hot.
It took quite a while for the pizza to be served and the employees were not very attentive to our need but I guess that could be due to the lunch crowd that patronizes the place. And it would be great if "salad" is one of the side items.
